Ichendorf Kokeshi bowl

The Ichendorf Kokeshi bowl by Denis Guidone translates the quiet balance of Japanese minimalism into the transparency of Italian glassmaking. Its soft curvature and pure silhouette evoke a sense of calm, turning every table into an exercise in proportion and elegance. Whether used for serving, display, or simply admired as an object of design, this handmade borosilicate bowl embodies Ichendorf’s art of essential beauty.

Artisan Craftsmanship and Modern Use

Each piece is flame-worked by hand from borosilicate glass, a material prized for its resistance, lightness, and clarity. With a capacity of 50 cl, the bowl is perfect for salads, fruits, or desserts. Designed for alimentary use, it is dishwasher safe at low temperatures (40 °C / 104 °F recommended). To preserve its brilliance, gentle hand washing is also advised, a simple gesture that highlights the care behind every Ichendorf creation.

Part of the Kokeshi Collection

This minimalist glass bowl belongs to the Kokeshi series, which reinterprets the timeless charm of Japanese dolls through Guidone’s contemporary eye. In harmony with the Kokeshi flute and Kokeshi stemmed glasses, it completes a table setting that blends sculptural precision with poetic transparency. As part of the Denis Guidone x Ichendorf collaboration, it aligns perfectly with the aesthetic of the Ichendorf stemmed glasses collection and their handmade borosilicate tumblers, making it an ideal accent piece for modern interiors.

Elegance in Everyday Rituals

The Kokeshi bowl brings refined simplicity to daily dining. Its geometric clarity and tactile lightness transform a humble serving moment into a design experience. Whether on its own or combined with other Ichendorf pieces, it reflects the brand’s enduring dialogue between function, art, and emotional resonance.
